What's New in OpenRMA

We've been busy enhancing OpenRMA to provide you with a more robust and user-friendly experience. Here's a summary of the latest improvements and new features:


Localization & Regional Enhancements

  • German Language Support: The New Inventory form is now available in German.

  • QuickBooks GB Region Logic:

    • New invoices are no longer created if you're in the Great Britain (GB) region.

    • Fixed an issue where editing invoices would stop if you were in the GB region.

    • Renamed instructions for the QuickBooks region on dropdown selection for clarity.

  • Company Currency Symbol & Localization: The company currency symbol now changes based on the selected locale, and financial reports automatically localize.



QuickBooks Online (QBO) Integration Improvements

  • Taxation Rules:

    • Products can now be marked as taxable, and taxcodeid is added when importing from QuickBooks Online.

    • Added new QBO Tax columns to inventory management.

    • Added QBO tax fields to the product table.

    • Improved QuickBooks Online Country Version handling to better manage taxation rules.

  • Invoice Management:

    • You can now create QuickBooks invoices directly from the Edit Invoice form.

    • Changed new invoice icons and added a test push invoice to QBO.

  • Customer Management:

    • Renamed the QuickBooks online button in customer management.

    • You can now push an OpenRMA customer to QuickBooks Online.

  • General QBO Enhancements:

    • Added a basic implementation for pushing an invoice to QuickBooks Online.

    • Added QBO unlink functionality and an indicator on the menubar.

    • Updated the script for the database and enhanced the invoice update process (addressing previous complexity).



Application & UI Refinements

  • RMA Status: Added rma_status to print forms.

  • Financial Center: The application bar is now hidden in the financial center to address UI issues.

  • Splash Screen & Forms:

    • Proper closing of the splash screen implemented.

    • Proper closing of the waiting form on services management.

  • Email Communication: Fixed sender name when sending an invoice/receipt/memo email.

  • Reporting: Added company name to the Balance Sheet.
