The original OpenRMA DX desktop edition laid the groundwork with a variety of innovative features, including an efficient Invoicing module for generating RMAs, receipts, and credit memos. OpenRMA365 takes this to a higher level by enhancing accessibility and performance.
While OpenRMA DX offered a strong desktop experience with a modern, office-themed user interface, multiple themes (including Dark Mode), improved grid views, and comprehensive reporting tools for detailed, customizable insights, OpenRMA365 builds on this solid base by providing complete multi-platform access for your repair shop management.
This new web application retains the essential business logic and efficiency you depend on while allowing you to manage your operations securely from any browser on any device. This ensures quick, safe, and responsive service no matter where you are.
The OpenRMA suite now offers the best of both worlds: the reliable, feature-rich desktop experience of DX and the versatile, cloud-based accessibility of 365.
For users who rely on the depth of the OpenRMA DX desktop application but require the flexibility of remote access, we offer a seamless Hybrid Access Model.
By leveraging a cloud-hosted database (Private MySQL or MariaDB Database) as the central data store, your core business data remains unified.
Simultaneously, the OpenRMA365 web application connects to the exact same live database. This architecture ensures real-time data synchronization and provides true platform independence. You are no longer tethered to a single workstation, you can transition effortlessly between a desktop PC, a Linux machine, a Mac, or a mobile device (phone/tablet), ensuring your team has the most current information and can operate continuously from anywhere at any time.
This hybrid solution maximizes the performance and control of the desktop application while unlocking the universal accessibility of the cloud.

We’ve been busy enhancing OpenRMA to provide you with a more robust and user-friendly experience.

•Introduced a Report Viewer to load and preview your custom reports directly in the app.
•Service exports to Excel now use your configured export location (no more defaulting to Desktop).
•You can export the Service Audit Log.
•Copy grid cell values with Ctrl+C in Services Management for faster data sharing.
🧭 Service Workflow & Data Entry:
•Detects unsaved changes on service editing and prompts you to save before closing.
•Enabled editing of the Part Number on Items and Charges.
•Faster lookups: Devices search switched to auto‑suggest mode. Device/Model/Brand lookups now support in‑text search and add‑on‑the‑fly.
•Added two new fields to the Service Balance Sheet, updated SQL schemas, and improved the database restore procedure.

•Prevents deleting technicians with assigned services, adds a confirmation dialog, and logs attempted deletions for auditability.
🌍 Localization:
•Added Slovenian language support, including ticket printing translation.
•Polished wizard and settings visuals, including corrected titles and labels.

•Added Web Colors on RMA Statuses to choose from.

We've been busy enhancing OpenRMA to provide you with a more robust and user-friendly experience. Here's a summary of the latest improvements and new features:
🌍 Localization & Regional Enhancements
•German Language Support: The New Inventory form is now available in German.
QuickBooks GB Region Logic:
•New invoices are no longer created if you're in the Great Britain (GB) region.
•Fixed an issue where editing invoices would stop if you were in the GB region.
•Renamed instructions for the QuickBooks region on dropdown selection for clarity.
•Company Currency Symbol & Localization: The company currency symbol now changes based on the selected locale, and financial reports automatically localize.
📊 QuickBooks Online (QBO) Integration Improvements
Taxation Rules:
•Products can now be marked as taxable, and Taxcode ID is added when importing from QuickBooks Online.
•Added new QBO Tax columns to inventory management.
•Added QBO tax fields to the product table.
•Improved QuickBooks Online Country Version handling to better manage taxation rules.
Invoice Management:
•You can now create QuickBooks invoices directly from the Edit Invoice form.
•Changed new invoice icons and added a test push invoice to QBO.
Customer Management:
•Renamed the QuickBooks online button in customer management.
•You can now push an OpenRMA customer to QuickBooks Online.

A new balance sheet is now available for tracking services, grouped by Date and RMA.
• ServiceTray is a versatile desktop application designed for computer technician shops and individual technicians to revolutionize customer communication, streamline support, and build lasting relationships.
This discreet tool resides in the Windows system tray, offering a suite of customizable features and cloud-based management capabilities.
At its heart, ServiceTray provides a powerful and personalized maintenance reminder system. After servicing a customer's device, technicians can install ServiceTray, configure a future maintenance date, and customize the notification that will appear when the time comes.”
